Raleigh dealer show opens for business

Haibike’s new high-torque Flyon e-bike system and the e-version of the Lapierre Xelius are two of the highlights at Raleigh’s dealer show, which opened for business today at the company’s Eastwood HQ. There are also product presentations from Raleigh’s exclusive brands such as Burley, Bont, Moon, and Supacaz.

The dealer show is on for the next three days – and with sunshine booked in there will be plenty of chances for dealers to test the latest bikes on Raleigh’s on-site Velopark test track.

The Haibike Flyon range uses a TQ HPR120S mid-drive motor, with a whopping 120 Nm of torque (most e-bike motors have between 70 to 85 Nm of torque). The Flyon 48V system uses a TQ motor married to a 48V battery with a capacity of 630Wh. This battery can be charged to 80 percent capacity within an hour. The Flyon bikes also feature integrated front and rear lights – with the rear lights fitting to the base of rear stays or into an integrated rack.

The 2019 range of Flyon carbon-frame bikes will be available in April/May. Visitors to Raleigh’s dealer show can also seen the wider range of Haibike models that also include models powered by Yamaha motors. Raleigh UK will be importing about half of the extensive Haibike range.

Lapierre also has an extensive range of road and MTBs, including an e-bike version of the brand’s stage-winning Xelius platform, created in 2013. The e-Xelius – which wasn’t ready for display at Eurobike – features a mid-motor and a battery within the downtube.

Raleigh’s Eastwood HQ has been expanded with marquees for the dealer show, and with accessory displays also taking place in the showrooms.

The latest Uvex helmet is a speed pedelec model which meets the latest e-bike helmet standard.

The Raleigh dealer show is open for business until Thursday, and opens at 10am each day.
