Raleigh and Maxxis sponsor Caravan and Motorhome Club’s CycleFest events

Raleigh and Maxxis are to be the headline sponsors of the three CycleFest events to be staged in 2018 by the Caravan and Motorhome Club. This will be the third annual staging of the events, which are accredited by British Cycling.

CycleFest events are organised under the club’s "Experience Freedom" banner, which has a cycling-dedicated website. They are designed for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy cycling. Each CycleFest offers two sportive routes, a relaxed family ride and a "cycling village".

The Caravan and Motorhome Club launched its “Adventure Outside” campaign in October 2017 in order to inspire more people to be active in the great outdoors and its CycleFest events form a key part of it. The club says that 43 percent of its members are "keen cyclists."

The club’s marketing director Harvey Alexander said: “We are always encouraging our members of all ages to get out in the great outdoors and have fun, active days-out and holidays, and CycleFest is a great example of this. More and more of our members are getting into cycling and we’re proud to be able to offer them some great events and routes that enable them to explore the UK’s beautiful countryside and have some exciting adventures.”

The Scottish Wanderer event will be held in the border town of Kelso on 6th May, the National Wanderer will take place at Sledmere House in Yorkshire on 27 May in Yorkshire, to coincide with the club’s main national get-together, and the Welsh Wanderer will run in the market town of Monmouth on 26th August.

The CycleFest events are organised for the Caravan and Motorhome Club by Curveball Studios of Trowbridge, Wiltshire.
