Push and Bikedesk have partnered with Josh Whiting to deliver retail solutions for the UK cycle trade – bringing integrated e-commerce and EPOS solutions to bicycle retailers.
The collaboration between Push, Bikedesk and Whiting aims to provide UK bike retailers with streamlined, easy-to-use tools that reduce admin, improve efficiency, and create a better customer experience.
Tools like Push and Bikedesk have become increasingly important for retailers – meeting the omnichannel expectation of modern customers requires a live stock listing to support and facilitate successful sales conversions, in-store and online.
The ability to link live stock to an e-commerce site enables retailers to win new business, maximising opportunity engagement and conversion, managing inventory and assisting with future forecasting.
Bikedesk – the headline sponsor for the 2025 BikeBiz Awards – was founded by Brian, Rasmus and Lasse, and designed to make the lives of bike shop owners simpler, offering a system that lets shops handle repairs, customers and more in one place.
With omnichannel becoming the dominant approach to retail, BikeBiz asked Push co-founder Matthew Power for insights gained from providing an e-commerce platform for the cycling industry.
Under the heading of ‘Four Lessons from the frontline of cycling and eCommerce – powering Retailers, Brands, and Suppliers’, Power shares what he sees as key opportunities for retailers.
Speaking about the new partnership, Whiting said: “I’m excited to work with the two companies to help bring a complete or specific retail solution to bicycle shops across the UK. After many years in bicycle shops listening to shop owners and store managers complaining about a mish-mash of systems cobbled together, or frustrations with some providers, BikeDesk and Push are great to partner with.
“Using my insight from the other side of the order book, I could see which systems were performing best from a sales sell-through perspective, and Push really stood out with the dealers they have on board and the business they were doing with me. In addition to Push, Bikedesk are the leading provider of EPOS in Denmark. If you are a leader in a cycling nation like that, then I’m in! BikeDesk have a simple platform which will help deliver time and cost savings to any business, whether a full retail and workshop store or a workshop-only operation.”
