Can you give us some background to Independent?
Independent was founded nearly 20 years ago and operates from the heart of the beautiful Shropshire and Worcestershire countryside.
As a company we strive to offer a professional, efficient and courteous service to all of our customers. Our aim is for continued growth without compromising any of these core values.
What brands do you currently supply to the trade?
We specialise in distributing brands such as Schwalbe Tyres, VP Components and YBN Chain. These complement our own brands which include Sanderson, Halt and also Flow Bikes.
What hot new products are you supplying at the moment?
The new VP R73 road pedal with its unique jigsaw cleat system has been extremely well received by our customers this month. It is an exceptional product at a key price point.
Schwalbe’s latest trail tyre, the Hans Dampf, has arrived in the warehouse in both 26-inch and 29-inch versions. This is another new tyre that will build on recent success and keep Schwalbe firmly at the forefront of bicycle tyre technology.
Do you specialise in any specific sectors like road, MTB, etc?
As the trade has changed noticeably since the advent of the CTW scheme, most of our customers have a much broader range of cyclists as their customers. We have of course responded to this and therefore supply an ever-increasing range of products.
Do you have any dealer incentives?
Independent has committed to attend The Bike Place show in January 2012 where we will launch our new trade catalogue which will include at least one major new brand. We will also be offering a brand new dealer incentive scheme for 2012.

New dealers are welcome to contact us by any of the methods listed above. If they wish, we will then arrange by appointment for a member of our sales team to visit them at their premises.
