Polartec is offering a place in Alberto Contador’s training camp

Polartec, a title sponsor of Team Fundacion Contador for the 2016 season, is offering one UK amateur cycling enthusiast the chance to be a cycling pro for a week.

Officially launched several days before Eurobike 2016, a panel of judges will announce the winners on October 7th, 2016.

The competition will run from August 29th through to September 26th, with the winner traveling to Gran Canaria this October. They will be given the opportunity to train with Contador and his team, as well as being offered advice from the professionals who operate behind the scenes of Team Fundacion Contador. This year, the team’s summer and winter race kits will feature Polartec fabrics.

Following on from the announcement of Polartec’s involvement with Fundacion Contador in February, the fabric brand has taken its partnership one step further, offering the international community ten opportunities to train with Contador this October.

The competition, which will be run in ten countries, will require entrants to cycle 1000km in less than one month, in order to be in with a chance of winning. Only those that can keep up with Contador’s pace will be able to win five days of professional training with the Polartec Fundacion Contador Team.

Hopefuls will be asked to sign up on the dedicated website via Strava. Each competitor will work their way through four levels of personal challenges., and as each level is completed, the cyclist will be awarded a badge, unlocking the next, more difficult stage. Entries must be in, and the 1000km completed, by September 26th. Each participant will have the opportunity to win weekly prizes offered by cycling brand leaders such as Castelli, Sportful, Rapha and rh+, made with Polartec Fabrics.
