POC has partnered with reigning UCI Road World Champion Magdeleine Vallieres on a limited-edition Cytal helmet celebrating her rainbow jersey year and Canadian roots.
The design, created with Vallieres and based on POC’s Cytal road helmet, marks a breakthrough season in which the EF Education–Oatly rider became Canada’s first elite road race world champion.
Vallieres won the rainbow jersey in Kigali, Rwanda, in September 2025, soloing to victory in a result that made her the first Canadian elite road race world champion in the sport’s 98-year history.
The limited-edition helmet features design references to Vallieres’ Québec heritage, including the fleur-de-lis and maple leaf, alongside motifs inspired by corn, Canadian maple syrup and her race mantra, “full commitment, no regrets”.
Amber Stackhouse, POC’s director of global sports marketing, said: “Mags is often described as selfless, hard-working, humble, and fun. She is just the kind of rider every team wants and needs. She also exudes a talent that was evident in Kigali, and her win was no surprise to those who know her. The victory was as exceptional as Mags. To celebrate the year, her perspective, her personality, and the next Worlds in Canada, we wanted to create a unique special edition together.”

Vallieres added: “Being able to ride this year as the World Champion, and represent the rainbow jersey is such a privilege and high point in my career so far. But getting to this point is all based on where I have come from. When POC and I started creating a helmet design together, I knew immediately that I wanted my Canadian roots to shine through.”
The launch comes ahead of the UCI Road World Championships returning to Montréal, Québec, in September. It will be the first time the event has been held there in 52 years and the first time in Vallieres’ home province.
The Cytal helmet draws on development work from the Cytal Carbon and has been designed to balance performance, ventilation and protection for road riders.
Key features include a variable-density EPS liner, POC’s Venturi-based ventilation system, an integrated wing for airflow management, Mips Air Node technology, an adjustable fit system and an integrated eye garage for sunglasses.
The helmet is available in small, medium and large sizes, covering fit ranges from 50cm to 61cm depending on size.
Pricing is listed at £310 in the UK, €340 in Europe and US$380 in the US, with additional regional pricing including CAD$470, AUD$570 and NZD$620.
