The Seventies-organised BMX event to be held in Bournemouth, 12-13th April, is lapping up the media attention, mainly due to some juicy prize giveaways.

Plugs galore for Backyard Jam

A selection of newspapers, websites, telly programmes and radio shows are planning to run mentions of the Backyard Jam at BIC in Bournemouth’s town centre.

Here’s the expected coverage:

BBC1 Saturday Morning Show: Saturday 5th April

Daily Star: Sunday 6th April

BBC Radio 1: Jo Wiley Show – 7th to 11th April

NUS website – running now

MTV and MTV2: 7th to 11th April

Some lucky callers and readers will win prizes such as a Hoffman bike, a PS2 game, Federal accessories and Enties clothing.

The Radio 1 winner is also getting a night at the Royal Bath Hotel, a 5-star seafront hotel piggybacking on the Seventies PR.

The Backyard Jam is also being plugged right now on the website of the National Union of Students.

When the Jam is but a memory, Seventies staffers will be building a street-course ramp lay-out at the new Hastings distribution centre.
