The ex-editor in chief of Bike Magazine brings with him over two decades of industry exerience including work for titles including Mountain Biker and Outside.
Felton says of the career move: "Leaving Bike Magazine is a bittersweet thing, sure. I put in nearly 18 years there and it’s both a great publication and a great group of people. My goal as a writer, though, is to serve as many people as possible. Where the largest print titles reach hundreds of thousands of readers, Pinkbike extends my reach to several million, globally."
Felton will head up Pinkbike’s editorial coverage of industry and technology, and will be contributing his years of industry insight to feature writing and analysis of political and social issiues surrounding the sport.
Pinkbike company president Karl Burkat said: "We’re proud to welcome Vernon to the team here at Pinkbike, he’s a great guy, and he brings a ton of experience to the job. He complements our existing staff well, and brings a unique and important view to the coverage of the sport of mountain biking."
