On July 1st 2001 distributor Paligap was founded with two brands in its portfolio.
Now the Bristol-based firm carries 16 high-end brands, the development of which has been fundamental to its success, it said.

"With so many competing products in the market place, our strength is to bring a diverse range of products into the UK that are category leaders,” said David Lane, original founder and managing director of Paligap. "We like to make business easy. We don’t work with big tie-in packages, and dealers can expect good stock across our range, and a 24 hour delivery to most parts of the UK."
Paligaps brand development often goes beyond the norm, the firm said, with a recent ‘Saris Store Front Programme’ seeing 20 IBDs refitted with a bespoke ‘store within a store’ area.
Lane added: "Partnering with IBDs on joint projects will continue to be a focus for us. We will be introducing more brands into the UK in the coming months and we will be working closely with our dealers on how best to launch them."
