It's unlikely, but this could depend on the fuss that gets made. Uncontroversial private members' bills sometimes go through 'on the nod', controversial ones can get talked out, officially objected to or adopted by the government by the promise of an enquiry. If Eric Martlew MP thought mandatory cycle helmets for children was a 'soft' issue, one that nobody could seriously object to, he clearly wasn't briefed very well by the Bicycle Helmet Initiative Trust.

Cannondale bike factory profiled on Travel Channel

As reported on BikeBiz,com last year, Cannondale's bike factory in Bedford, Pennsylvania, was visited by a crew from the Travel Channel. John Ratzenberger - Cliff Clavin in Cheers - is the show's presenter. The 'Made in America' series also features profiles of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, the Chevrolet Corvette and Steinway pianos. The Cannondale segment airs on Tuesday, April 20th at 9:00 p.m. on the Travel Channel in the US.
