PaceUp expands PR and marketing teams with two new hires

PaceUp Media, the cycling and adventure sports PR and marketing agency, has announced new hires, adding greater depth and experience to its account teams.

First to join the team is Ollie Gray who will assist PaceUp’s globally operating PR team.

He leaves The Rider Firm where he was integral to the company’s growth over the last seven years. He has also served as brand manager for Hunt Wheels.

Well-known throughout the industry for his ability to develop genuine, long-lasting relationships, Gray’s infectious passion for cycling culture and his enthusiasm for bringing people together make him a valuable addition to the agency.

Following the announcement, Gray said: “I’m stoked to be a part of this talented team. During a previous role, I had the pleasure of being a client of PaceUp, and experienced the strong work ethic, creative thinking and ability to deliver that has led to the agency’s positive reputation.

“I hope to meaningfully contribute to this as we take shape and challenge the status quo of PR & communications in the outdoor space.”

Ruben Green will join PaceUp’s marketing team after roles as London community manager at Rapha and social media manager at Specialized UK,

Green’s boundless creativity and appetite for creating memorable digital campaigns has previously been utilised by some of the best-loved brands in the business.

He is already leaving a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike, providing fresh perspectives and a prolific creative approach.

Green said: “It’s an exciting time at PaceUp; I look forward to utilising my experience to elevate current clients’ marketing strategy and campaigns while further developing this area of the PaceUp offering.”

In line with the growth of PaceUp Media which, this summer, passed the five year anniversary mark, PaceUp’s website TLD and email format has switched to .com from .co.uk.

Having represented international and global clients since being founded in 2018, the move reinforces the agency’s commitment to elevating the way brands, organisations, teams and athletes communicate, around the world.

Tom Copeland, PaceUp Media founder and director, commented: “Having passed the five-year mark this summer we’ve used this anniversary as the catalyst to revisiting the PaceUp brand, purpose and core services – something that’s easy to forget when busy delivering for clients day-by-day.

“But it’s been a great exercise and one that has sparked several exciting new ideas and concepts – something that both Ollie and Ruben have integrated quickly into.

“The guys have both already had a good influence on both current and potential projects across the agency, strengthening our collective skillset, network knowledge-base and enthusiasm to bring the noise as an agency.”
