In fact it’s going to be held in London and will be a quickie.
The AGM was always going to be held in the UK (it’s part of the ACT constitution) but the trade-sponsored conference was first going to be held in Palma but this ambitious plan was later scaled back to Belgium.
ACT President David Wilsher is disappointed but not negative about the cancellation:
"We had such little interest in the overseas conference that it was an easy decision to shelve it. All our efforts will now go into the many positive things the ACT does on a day to day basis. We always do what the members want us to do, and an overseas conference isn’t something the members wanted."
