Halifax-based bike manufacturer Orange Bikes has announced the formation of an experienced sales team to accelerate growth across the UK, Ireland and international markets.

Orange Bikes, one of Britain’s most iconic mountain bike brands and proud manufacturer of hand-crafted aluminium bikes at its Halifax factory since 1988, today confirmed the appointment of four industry professionals to its new sales team.

The move marks a significant step in Orange’s renewed ambitions and signals the brand’s commitment to building closer relationships with retailers across the UK and beyond.

Mike Ellis — International & North of England / Scotland

Mike Ellis has joined Orange Bikes as UK and International Account Manager.  He brings a wealth of international and UK commercial experience to Orange Bikes, having previously worked at Endura, the award-winning Scottish cycling apparel brand, before moving to Pentland Brands — Endura’s parent company — where he served as International Business Development Manager. In that role, Mike developed and managed relationships with distributors and retail partners across global markets. His deep understanding of international channel development, combined with strong existing relationships across the UK, makes him an outstanding appointment to lead Orange’s growth ambitions.

John Styles — South East England

John Styles takes responsibility for the Southeast of England. One of the cycle industry’s most respected sales agents and commentators, John brings over 20 years of experience.  John is also well known as a columnist and founder of consultancy Cyconomist. His analytical approach and deep knowledge of the trade will be a major asset for Orange across the South East.

John Hollier — South West England & Wales

John Hollier joins to cover the Southwest of England and Wales, a territory he knows well having represented brands in the region for over 14 years. With a 30-year career spanning shop floor, telesales, warranty and sales roles, his extensive network of independent retailers across the South West and Wales makes him an ideal representative for Orange’s hand-crafted range.

Conor Ward — Ireland

Conor Ward takes on responsibility for the Irish market, bringing valuable local knowledge and established relationships with bike retailers across the island of Ireland. His appointment underlines Orange’s intention to grow its presence in Ireland and connect more closely with the country’s thriving mountain biking community.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mike, John, John and Conor to the Orange family. These appointments represent a major statement of intent as we build for the future. Each of them brings deep expertise, established dealer networks and a genuine passion for cycling — which fits perfectly with the Orange ethos. Together they give us the strongest sales presence we have had in years, and we are excited about what we can achieve.”

— Kelvin Lawton, Product & Marketing Director, Orange Bikes

An Exciting New Chapter for Orange

The new sales team arrives at a particularly exciting moment for Orange, with a compelling pipeline of new bikes set to give the agents plenty to talk about with their dealer networks.

Headline news is the imminent launch of an all-new Avinox-powered electric mountain bike — making Orange one of the only UK manufacturers to adopt DJI’s class-leading motor system.

The Avinox bike is not the only new model in the pipeline. Orange has also teased a further exciting prototype, with full details to be revealed in due course. Dealers wishing to register their interest in the new range are encouraged to get in touch with their regional agent.
