O’Neal and Azonic team up with Moore Large for MTB range

The impending Core Bike Show will provide a chance to catch up with O’Neal and Azonic following their deal with Moore Large to distribute the new MTB range.

Reps from O’Neal and Moore Large will showcase the products and packages ahead of the 2016 riding season, with stock arriving from March 2016.

The MTB side of the O’Neal business was born from its MX roots in the early days and quickly established as a leading DH protection and apparel brand. More recently it has seen the development of trail and Enduro specific products to complement the core DH and BMX offering.

O’Neal’s head of marketing John Firth said: “We’ve been looking for the right partner in the UK cycle market for some time now and Moore Large bring with them hugely valuable experience and a new set-up internally that will see focus on the more gravity-orientated brands in their portfolio. Sitting alongside Onza, Polygon and other brands, we are confident that O’Neal and Azonic will be in great company to bring a strong competitive offering to dealers. O’Neal and Azonic are two of the longest running brands in their respective markets and we are excited about taking them to the next level in the UK with Moore Large. The UK only need look to our other leading markets around the world to see the size of the potential that exists here also.”

As Moore Large starts to manage the business, the local and central support for dealers from O’Neal will remain in place to ensure the best possible service, the duo confirmed.

O’Neal’s grassroots and sponsorship programme will remain unchanged and continue to strengthen as new dealers come on board from the new relationship. Three time UCI DH World Champion Greg Minnaar and current UCI 4X World Champion Quentin Derbier are amongst O’Neal’s impressive line-up of riders going into 2016.

Moore Large’s Dale Smith, director for the IBD division, added: We have recently re-structured our sales, product and marketing teams to facilitate a focus on our IBD business, which identified the need for the new gravity orientated brands we are excited to have acquired. We acknowledge that the Enduro, DH and MTB markets are growing and we are now sure we have the right partners with O’Neal, Azonic and Polygon. Retailers will be supported with a new sales and marketing initiative to be launched later this year. A good place to find out more would be Core Bike or our Geared 2016 event in February.”
