A new off road cycling series is in the pilot stages – dubbed Cycle Dirt – with the show’s organisers currently talking to broadcasters and sponsors about taking the show forwards.
Presented by Richard Cunynghame, Cycle Dirt will cover all forms of off road cycling and will be filmed from a mobile ‘Vito van studio’.
The show will focus on the athletes who take part in the sports at the highest level. The pilot programme includes competition footage from downhill and BMX events, as well as a days filming with Vito Sport in Ipswich at a cyclocross event.
Cycle Dirt will be commercially funded, but will ring fence sponsorship money to give back to grassroots cycling in order to help the sports develop.
