British security specialist Squire will sponsor Nick Sanders, the adventure cyclist and motorcycle rider.
Sanders will become the global brand ambassador for Squire’s premium ranges of motorcycle and bicycle security products.
Sanders is the fastest man to circumnavigate the globe by motorcycle, having ridden around the world seven times in two world records, and biked the length of the Americas eight times.
He has held Guinness World Records for cycling around the world, and after 20 years, still holds the record for cycling around the coast of Britain in 22 days. As Squire’s new ambassador, Sanders will support Squire’s global ambitions in the two-wheel security market with major announcements, “to be revealed this year".
Sanders said: “I’ve ridden around the world nine times, nearly a million kilometres by motorbike and bicycle, and that feels authentic. So being supported by one of the oldest lock makers in the world feels right.”
Managing director John Squire added: “Nick’s quest for the greatest motorcycle adventures is a great fit with our brand, which stands for the long-lasting toughness, performance and durability. It’s why we’re very proud to support him in what will be another milestone year for Squire in the two-wheel market.”
As part of Sanders’ adventure programme this year, Squire’s two-wheel products will be tested around the world in some of the toughest, harshest environments.
“If they are ‘Nick proof’, they’re tough enough for anyone,” added Squire. “We’re very much looking forward to working together and taking the Squire brand on an exciting new global adventure.”
