The team behind North America’s key cycle trade show Interbike put on its second e-bike specific Charged Up event close to New York City in Hamburg, New Jersey, in May.
With over 4,000 acres of open space to test and interact with the e-bikes on display, Charged Up was created to appeal to New York-based publishers and non-endemic media including the likes of Esquire, Wired, The Wall Street Journal and Vogue. In its first year it was held in Southern California.
A select bunch of around 25 brands took part in Charged Up including Haibike, Izip, La Pierre, Bell, Giro, LEVA (Light Electric Vehicle Assocation), Blackburn, Bion-X and Prodeco.
Meanwhile, Interbike has revealed that demand for booth space has led to it taking on added floor space at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Las Vegas. There’s more on that story here.
