New bike shop BikeAbout opens in Filey

New family run bike shop BikeAbout opened its doors on March 26th.

The shop, now situated in the Yorkshire seaside town of Filey, will offer a range of services including bike hire and repairs, aswell as selling a range of cycle parts and accessories.

The now two year old company has operated as a mobile cycle hire and repair shop, before making the move to a permanent location at 4A, Hope Street.

BikeAbout’s owner Richard Hay said: "Our mission is to get people onto their bikes and keep them on them. Filey and the surrounding area are brilliant cycling terrain. In my opinion, there’s no better way to see our beautiful part of the world than on a bike. You see more than in a car, it’s better for the environment and it’s a fantastic way of keeping fit. However, to be enjoyable, you need a bike that’s comfortable and in good working order. That’s where BikeAbout Filey comes in."
