Muc-Off launches dealer direct programme for UK cycling industry

Muc-Off has today announced that it is offering independent bike retailers the opportunity to open a direct account with the brand.

The Muc-Off Dealer Direct Programme will “transform how independent retailers benefit from stocking its products and will include a range of incentives previously unavailable,” the brand has said.

These incentives extend to improved margins, simple online ordering, credit terms, in-store training, event support and access to products and promotions only available to independent specialist retailers.

The Muc-Off Dealer Direct Programme offers three differing tiers of benefits, dependent on the level of collaboration each retailer is willing to enter into. In becoming an Ambassador Store, retailers will also receive extended credit terms, stock rotation to avoid clearance, free product for store staff, and will be the first to receive new products in store, to name a selection of the 16 benefits on offer.

Alex Trimnell, Muc-Off CEO, said: “As a company of bike fanatics, we all have an emotional connection to independent retail, indeed 25 years ago this is how we started on our journey. The landscape of the industry is changing ever more rapidly, and to address this we want to be able to contribute positively to the success of the best specialist retailers in the business.

“Now that the UK’s best-selling brand in the category is offering value and incentives that did not previously exist to independent retail, I believe we are giving these stores the best chance we can for them to flourish with the Muc-Off Dealer Direct Programme.”

The Muc-Off Dealer Direct Programme is available immediately for independent bike retailers.
