Muc-Off appoints dedicated US account manager

Muc-Off has announced the appointment of Tony Zanca as US account manager.

With close to a decade’s experience working in the American cycling industry, Zanca brings a wealth of knowledge to a rapidly growing international sales team.

Previously, Zanca held the position of account manager for Hawley Lambert, where he was responsible for nurturing the relationships of over 100 client accounts in Southern California. His work ethic and desire to always put the customer first saw him recognised as National Sales Rep of the Year in 2015.

James Cramp, sales manager at Muc-Off, said: “We are really excited for Tony to join the Muc-Off team and expand our US presence as he brings with him an in-depth knowledge of the US cycle industry. Tony previously worked for our national distributor Hawley Lambert, with whom we’ve had a fantastic last 12 months in both the US & Canadian markets. With Tony onboard, we’re aiming to put in place some key initiatives for the US IBDs very soon.”

Zanca joins Muc-Off at a time when the company is looking to grow in North America, following an extremely busy period that saw a dedicated 3PL warehouse open in Minnesota. Based in California, his remit will involve overseeing all sales and marketing activities for the brand in the US. He will also be responsible for educating both retailers and consumers alike about the benefits of using Muc-Off for their bicycle maintenance needs.

“I am extremely excited about joining the Muc-Off team," commented Zanca. "If you have ever spent any time near a Muc-Off employee, their enthusiasm about the brand is contagious. I want to inject this into the US cycling community as much as possible. As Muc-Off works with high-profile athletes and teams, they are able to gather feedback from the professionals and create the best products possible. I expect that my sales background, relationship building, and knowledge of the US market will contribute to Muc-Off’s goals.”
