MPs cycling to the moon?

The Sun has today revealed that Members of Parliament now have access to a £5,500 virtual cycling machine based within the Commons gym.

However, the costly piece of equipment is no ordinary trainer. MPs are able to choose a variety of scenes to be displayed on the TV screen – including one scene which depicts travelling toward the moon.

A source told The Sun: "The machines are very well used."

Duncan Lawson, from supplier Instyle Fitness added: "The feedback we’ve had from Westminster Gym shows that it’s very popular."
