Didcot shop launches on Good Friday, eight years to the day after retailer opens first shop

Mountain Mania opens new bike store in Oxfordshire

On Good Friday, the Mayor of Didcot opened Mountain Mania Cycles’ new 2,500 sqft shop in the town.

The new Didcot shop is jointly branded ‘The Road Room’ and ‘Mountain Mania Cycles’, catering for both markets as well as offering commuters and childrens’ bikes. Special promotional offers for Easter Weekend were in effect.

Jamie Lynn, owner and MD, started Mountain Mania Cycles eight years ago at the age of 21. He started from a bedroom selling via the internet (trading as Balfa UK). Now the company employs 14 full time employees across a four-store network.

Lynn said the knowledge and commitment of its employees, coupled with high customer service levels had helped the growth of the retailer.

All the shops offer Scott, Trek, Cube, Yeti, Orange, Foes, Enigma, Cove, De-Rosa, Ritte, Brompton and Pashley. Other branches can be found in Goring-on-Thames and Tring.
