Feature rich app lets you plan around Europe's 50 greatest climbs, with detailed history, mapping and much more

Mountain High travel app launches with TripAdvisor, Wiggle and Strava

Mountain High, a new cycling travel app, launches today, bringing users detailed information on Europe’s top 50 climbs, including all the classics from the Tour de France, the Vuelta a España and the Giro d’Italia.

Mountain high integrates with Strava for comparing climb times, and with TripAdvisor for travel planning. Adapted from the phenomenally successful book Mountain High by journalist Daniel Friebe and cycling photographer Pete Goding, and produced in partnership with Aimer Media, it is designed to assist in planning your next cycling challenge.

Adrian Driscoll, Co-Founder and Director of Aimer Media: “Aimer have had a terrific time building an app out of the amazing material in the Mountain High books. We are delighted to have made an app that is genuinely useful for cyclists attempting these incredible rides, but also one that recreates the experience for armchair cyclists to fully imagine doing so.”

Each of the many climbs featured carries historical detail, technical maps and profiles and imagery by Goding, a long serving and widely published cycling photographer.

Having linked up with Wiggle, the developers of the app have also given riders a portal to purchase goods on the move. Meanwhile, Wiggle will produce a special cycling climb guide based on Mountain High.

Ben Simmons, cycle marketing manager at Wiggle said: “Wiggle are very pleased to partner with the Mountain High app. It is a great app showcasing some of the most renowned cycling climbs in the world with great detail. There is no other app like this on the market and Wiggle feels that this app will appeal to our customers who are passionate about adventuring out to conquer these iconic climbs.”
