The sixth annual PressCamp summer event has now reached its participating company capacity of 25. The event is organised by Lifeboat Events and is based in the Deer Valley resort in Park City, Utah, and is condo-based. Bike editors spend condo time with exhibitors in the morning, and go for test rides in the afternoon.
Lance Camisasca, president of Lifeboat Events, said: "In the past ten days we have welcomed five new brands to PressCamp, each reserving one of the marvelous million dollar condos that will become their product showroom, one-on-one meeting space and accommodations over the course of the camp."
He added: "The list of exhibiting brands is as diverse as it is prestigious. Bosch eBike Systems, Campagnolo, Pivot Cycles, BKOOL and Finish Line Bicycle Care Products claimed the remaining spots available, leaving us with 25 manufacturers representing 29 industry brands.”
Camisasca and company co-founder Chad Battistone will now be scoping out the potential for expanding the event.
“We are speaking with Deer Valley officials about securing some additional condos and adjusting the schedule to accommodate up to five more manufacturers," said Camisasca.
"We will keep names on a waiting list until this is completed, which is expected to be done by month’s end.”
PressCamp 2014 will host 25 editors, representing a total of approximately 35 bike magazines, non-endemic magazines and newspapers, as well as websites and blogs.
The brands confirmed to attend are:
Camelbak, Clifbar, Enve, Hayes, Kali Protectives, Bionx, Orbea, Ridley, Smith Optics, SRAM, Stan’s NoTubes, Sugoi, Manitou, Niner, Cannondale, GT, Wheelsmith, SunRinglé, Schwinn, Sombrio, Purely Custom, Mongoose, Bkool, Bosch, Campagnolo, Finish Line, Zipp, Pivot and Answer.
