Electroluminescent range added to distributors portfolio

Moore Large signs Proviz

Proviz’s ‘electroluminescent’ range, featuring unique light-emitting and reflective cycling product, has been snapped up by distributor Moore Large.

The first collection to be distributed to the trade via Moore Large will consist of three helmets, electroluminescent jackets, rucksacks and rucksack covers.

Proviz was originally set up by brothers Anthony and Rupert Langly-Smith. The duo formed the company after seeing cyclists improvise ways of becoming more visible using their current cycle accessories.

Proviz’s top end in-mould helmet retails at £55.99 and is pitched as the only helmet on the market to feature LED lights integrated into the snap on/off front visor. The entire Proviz yellow, unisex helmets include a rear LED light built into the adjustable heardring.

The Electroluminescent, waterproof cycling jacket retails at £69.99, designed for cyclists wishing to stand out in traffic. Four durable, waterproof electroluminescent strips are powered by AAA batteries housed in the pocket.

The 28-litre electroluminescent rucksack uses two light-emitting strips, 30 mm of sponge padding for comfort and airflow, one main compartment and three pockets. It retails at £44.99, with an electroluminescent rucksack cover available for £29.99.

Moore Large product manager David Jack said: “In today’s cycling environment not being visible can lead to unthinkable consequences. The Proviz range makes you stand out, both day and night. Reflective material is great, but when there is no light source, when between lanes of cars or pedestrians, reflective material is of no use. Proviz electroluminescent strips create a fantastic light where there is none, making you highly visible in all circumstances.”

Moore Large sales director Dale Smith said: “We see Proviz as a being a successful addition to our growing collection of cycling accessories and believe in the safety benefits these products offer the end user. From our pre market research we are already expecting a great response to the brand when it reaches our customers retail outlets. The range will also be part of our lighting promotion launched to the trade in August.”
