Mountain bike brand Mondraker has officially released its new Summum DH racing bike. Prices start at £2,799 for a frameset or £4,999 for the Summum R build.

This may well be the official launch, but it’s probably not the first time you’ve seen this bike in action. Did you follow this year’s edition of Red Bull Hardline from Tasmania? Do you remember watching Rónán Dunne’s World Cup victory in Les Gets last season? Or, what about when Ryan Pinkerton was crowned 2025 US DH National Champion?

If you watched any of these amazing moments, then you’ll have witnessed the creation and development of Mondraker’s all-new Summum taking place between the tapes and against the clock. A race-winning machine that’s been crafted over two years and proven at the highest level.

The latest version of the legendary Summum draws on two decades of engineering and Mondraker’s product team’s expertise and knowledge, with design and technological advances forged on the toughest World Cup race tracks from across the globe. Mondraker says that the resulting step forward in performance is built on sweat, adrenaline and victories earned by the riders of Mondraker Factory Racing DH team.

INTRODUCING THE NEW MONDRAKER SUMMUM

According to Mondraker, the Summum embodies the brand’s passion for technology, competition and downhill racing. It is no coincidence that Mondraker’s first ever product was a downhill bike… and the Summum has become the most successful race bike at Mondraker and a true benchmark. As racing never ends, neither does technological development.

KEY FEATURES

RACE WINNING PROVEN KINEMATICS

This new model features all-new updated Zero Suspension System kinematics, delivering better performance with more mid-stroke support – where you need it the most- this translates into a faster bike on track, improved handling and enhanced suspension suppleness off the top.

DH-SPECIFIC FORWARD GEOMETRY

Longer reach, slacker head tube angles…directly inherited from World Cup racing. Key refinements that you will benefit from when putting the bike to the test.

PROVEN BY THE FACTORY TEAM

This new Summum is the result of racing development under our MFR DH team, with direct feedback gathered over the past number of race seasons.

27 ADJUSTMENTS FOR THE PERFECT SET-UP

As standard, the new Summum already offers the most dedicated and race-ready geometry, but for those skilled riders who prefer to further customize their geometry or adapt their bike to different courses and preferences, you’ll find up to 27 possible configurations available thanks to adjustable headset cups, a lower shock-mount flip chip, and adjustable rear dropouts.

  1. Headset-Reach adjust with three positions, standard and +/-5mm.
  2. Lower shock-mount flip chip to adjust bottom bracket height +/-5mm, and angles +/-0.35°.
  3. Adjustable rear dropouts +/-5mm (450mm or 460mm options) from 455mm standard chainstay length.

Manufactured from Stealth Alloy using optimized tube profiles offering stiffness and compliance. The new Summum frame has been fully redesigned following feedback and development from prototypes tested by the MFR DH team.

New Sealed Bearings
The new Summum features unified bearing sizing across all pivot points, specific mounting hardware and rubber seals for improved protection against external elements for greater durability and reliability.

Internal Cable Routing
A guided internal routing system that simplifies installation and eliminates unwanted rattling noise.

Custom Rubber Frame Protection
Redesigned rubber protectors on the chainstay, downtube and bottom bracket reduce noise and shield the frame from impacts and debris. An additional downtube protector prevents damage during chairlifts or pick-up into a van.
