British Cycling has concluded that David Millar was guilty of offences under the UCI’s Anti Doping Examination Regulations Article 134 – Declaration or Admissions of Doping.
Millar’s admission to taking EPO also constituted offences of intentional doping under Article 130.2 of the UCI Anti Doping Examination Regulations,
British Cycling imposed a two year suspension from competition from 5th August 2004. He was also fined of 2000 Swiss Francs and, more significantly, stripped of his World Time Trial Championship title won in 2003.
David Millar has no right of appeal to British Cycling, but may appeal to the Court for Arbitration in Sport.
