MET has introduced the Trenta 2 road cycling helmet, with a UK recommended retail price of £280 and immediate availability, according to the brand. The updated model reworks the Trenta’s ventilation, fit and protection while retaining its compact silhouette.
According to the brand, airflow is central to the redesign. MET says the helmet’s wind tunnel-developed ventilation combines 24 vents with optimised internal channels to move air from the front intake to the rear exhaust.

A reduced head-contact area is intended to allow air to circulate more freely around the head. MET also describes the new model as lighter and more aerodynamic.
The Trenta 2 features an in-mould polycarbonate shell with an EPS liner, strategically placed dual-density EPS and extended rear coverage. Mips Air Node Pro is included for additional rotational impact protection, according to MET.
Fit is handled by MET’s Safe-T Orbital Fit System, offering 360° adjustment alongside vertical and occipital positioning. Air Lite straps with adjustable dividers are designed to keep weight down, with the brand quoting 260g for a size medium.

A full-wrap polycarbonate shell is intended to improve durability, while integrated sunglasses ports provide a docking point for eyewear. A helmet soft bag is included.
The helmet is available in three sizes: small (52–56cm), medium (56–58cm) and large (58–61cm). MET lists certifications as CE, US and AS-NZ. MET positions the Trenta 2 for both everyday road riding and training.
The Trenta 2 is available from Extra UK, MET’s exclusive distributor in the UK and through Cyclex in Ireland, priced at £280 SRP / €300 SRP. Visit www.extrauk.co.uk to order and for more information on the MET range.
