Merida takes on Alpina range in the UK

Merida UK has picked up the excluxive distribution rights to the award winning Alpina eyewear and helmet range in the UK.

The brand, based in Augsburg, Germany, is already available and selling in 35 countries and is also one of the Multivan Merida team’s sponsors.

A first chance to see the range will be at the Merida Bikes 2010 Launch at the firm’s HQ in Nottingham (October 14-21st) followed by the Scottish launch day in Falkirk ( October 25th). ALPINA will also be shown in full at the Core Bike show in January.

Chris Carter, general manager of Merida Bikes commented: "The opportunity to work with Alpina was one we could not turn down. The brand is recognised around the world for outstanding quality, innovative design and superb styling. As a long standing supporter of our international team it was an easy choice to incorporate Alpina into our growing accessories business."

Merida will initially only bring in a selection of product, but has outlined plans to expand the product offering in 2010.

If you would like to arrange an appointment to see the Alpina range at Merida’s 2010 Launch, contact Chris Carter on chris@meridauk.com or 0115 9817788.
