The Memory-Map Adventurer 2800 handheld GPS device is now available for dealers to order and first units will be available to ship in the first week of November.
The Adventurer 2800 uses a 2.8-inch high resolution touchscreen making the map display sharp and vibrant. Its 50 channel high-sensitivity GPS receiver offers real-time positioning even in densely wooded or built-up areas and the unit is housed in a weatherproof and hard-wearing case weighing in at a featherweight 135g (including its high capacity Lithium Polymer rechargeable battery).
Despite all these features the Adventurer 2800 has an SRP of only £250 (inc VAT) and comes ready to use straight from the box. It includes pre-loaded Ordnance Survey Maps of selected British National Parks at 1:50,000 and a further 10,000 KM2 of Ordnance Survey Landranger Digital Map Shop credits, enabling users to self select the areas of mapping as and when they want.
Finally, the Adventurer 2800 is the only unit to come with full PC software (included in the price) for route planning and review.
