Fresh from its Award win at Eurobike, BH-Emotion’s e-bike range has appointed a new UK distributor, which is seeking dealers in the UK and Ireland
Gloucestershire-based Maxtrack will be bringing the BH e-bikes to retailers and told BikeBiz that it has greater market penetration in the UK planned for the brand and has a full support and promotional package in place.
The brand was founded over a century ago and includes on and off road high performance bicycles. BH’s three year-old Emotion range has now teamed up with an impressive roll call of electronics firms – Panasonic, Samsung and now Bosch – for its latest range of electric bikes.
The 2012 line-up includes the award winning all-new Emotion range of NEO electric bikes. The NEO integrates the battery into the down tube and is totally removable – a unique patented innovation, according to the firm, making it an e-bike that doesn’t look like an e-bike.
BH marketing and communication manager Alex Zuloaga said: “We’ve got a patent for the integration of two big parts: the battery and the control unit. It’s a simple, comfortable design that helps conceal much of the battery.
“The Emotion NEO has nothing to do with the other assist-pedal bikes on the market, for it boasts many technical and design advantages and almost looks like an ordinary bike.”
The NEO bikes weigh from 21 to 24kg and have a range of up to 56 miles (90km) in eco mode.
