The Japanese bicycle maker is still under scrutiny for cooking the books and former execs have once again been called in for questioning.

Maruishi’s former president arrested again

According to the Kyodo News agency, police in Tokyro re-arrested Yoshio Yagi, the former president of Maruishi Cycle Industries Ltd. He was held on suspicion of arranging a dubious capital increase.

Also served with a fresh arrest warrant was Yukio Mera, head of Maruishi Cycle’s accounting division, who has also been under custody over fraudulent documents regarding a capital increase in a separate case.
