Marin Bikes to open UK subsidiary

Marin Bikes is to open a UK subsidiary based out of its new home in Corsham, Wiltshire, parting ways with Paligap after five years.

The brand has said it will continue to support Paligap in its ‘evolution’ as a distributor and bicycle supply chain specialist. Paligap will offer Marin a 3PL service, providing streamlined delivery from Marin’s dealer facing B2B.

The new office and technical support station will have three full time staff: Oli Brown, UK brand manager, Jonny Ashelford, internal sales and technical support, and John Oldale, international marketing and UK support.

The team will be supported by two full time account managers on the road, Tom Wild in the North and a soon-to-be announced account manager in the South.

Marin has said it aims to make the transition as ‘seamless as possible’, and is inviting all current dealers to get in touch as soon as possible to ensure that a new account is set up. Forward orders that were previously held with Paligap will be re-entered into its new B2B.
