Manchester community cycling fest announces timetable

Manchester-based free annual community cycling festival North West Velo Fest has confirmed its full lineup of events for 2018.

The festival begins on the 25th of May and runs for two weeks. All events are completely free, and include a tour celebrating the women who’ve put Manchester on the map, ‘relaxed’ rides out to the city outskirts and a day exploring Manchester’s musical heritage.

The organisers commented: “North West Velo Fest is completely free for all, two weeks of inclusive events for anyone who’d like to have some fun on a bike, not just for the lycra-clad racers.”

The festival is now in its seventh year and has attracted thousands of cyclists from Manchester and beyond. It’s entirely led by volunteers and asks no entry fees for any of its events.
