Registrations are now open for the MAHLE Smart Trainings 2026–2027, a technical training programme designed to help dealers and workshops gain a deeper understanding of MAHLE systems, diagnose problems more quickly and provide even better service to their customers.
With e-bike technology evolving rapidly, with new systems, configurations and software updates, together with the growing integration of hardware and digital components, the role of the dealer is changing. A thorough understanding of the technology offered to customers is now essential not only for providing good advice and making a successful sale, but also for delivering qualified support throughout the bike’s entire lifetime.
In response to these needs, MAHLE SmartBike Systems has developed the 2026–2027 edition of MAHLE Smart Trainings for Dealers, a technical training programme for its European dealer network.
From technology to everyday workshop practice
The programme goes beyond theoretical training. It aims to give professionals the confidence to handle everyday workshop tasks, including diagnostics, maintenance, configuration, troubleshooting and servicing eBike systems. During the sessions, participants will explore the MAHLE product portfolio, from the new M40 to the XS, X20, X30 and X35 systems, learning about their features, compatibility, configurations and service procedures.
Particular emphasis is placed on the M40 system, with practical exercises covering installation, diagnostics, troubleshooting and maintenance based on the workflows used by MAHLE’s technical teams. The second half of the day focuses on the X-series, product updates and key service recommendations.
Training that builds skills that make a difference
For a dealer, technical training is about more than deepening product knowledge. It enables teams to work more independently and efficiently, reduce the time needed to identify a problem and improve the overall customer experience.
MAHLE Smart Trainings courses also enable participants to work directly on the components and analyse real-life service scenarios. This creates a direct link between what is taught during the day and what actually happens in the workshop. Another key feature is direct contact with MAHLE technical experts. Dealers can discuss specific problems, ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of the MAHLE SmartBike Systems ecosystem.
From dealer to Certified MAHLE Partner PRO
One of the programme’s key benefits is the opportunity to become a Certified MAHLE Partner PRO after completing the training. Certification recognises a workshop’s technical expertise and can also increase its visibility within the MAHLE network. Certified dealers can benefit from greater visibility in the MAHLE Dealer Locator, giving cyclists another qualified point of contact for servicing. In a market where after-sales service increasingly influences eBike purchasing decisions, proven expertise in MAHLE systems can be a real point of difference.
A day designed for bicycle retail professionals
The trainings are intensive, fully in-person days combining technical instruction, hands-on activities, product updates, discussions with experts and networking with other industry professionals.
The programme also includes dedicated training materials. Participants can choose a ticket with digital documentation or a printed technical manual. Lunch is included.
This is more than simply adding another training session to the calendar. For dealers who work with MAHLE eBikes every day, it is an investment in skills that can be applied directly in the workshop.
