M Part, a Madison own-brand, are introducing a new range of bicycle gear hangers and bearings, representing a significant expansion of its workshop essentials offering.
The addition of new bearings and hangers are designed with convenience in mind and allow local bike shops to access these parts for “nearly any bicycle on the market”.
M Part gear hangers are cold forged using 6061 aluminium, the same material as used by bike frame manufacturers guaranteeing the correct hardness level.
By using the same manufacturers that produce around 90% of the bearings for the bike industry, M Part has committed that all of its bearings meet the same specifications and quality of original bearings found on bicycles.

With a focus on simplifying the process for bike shops, the brand understands that there are a wide variety of shapes and sizes for both gear hangers and bearings and now have updated gear hanger and bearing charts for ease of use in a workshop.
Madison has also improved its search function for these spares on its B2B platform with additional filters for gear hangers so retailers can select the number of fasteners required and the frame manufacturer.
The improved search is also optimised for bearings with all bearing descriptions including size, which is listed on the B2B platform in the bearing industry’s standard format.
This allows mechanics to identify replacement bearings by measuring the worn parts before disposal.
