Madison celebrates 40th birthday with Madison77 campaign

Madison Clothing is due to celebrate its 40th birthday this June with the launch of a brand new campaign and range of limited edition clothing.

Madison Clothing – which was created in 1977 – will use the tagline #Madison77 to review its favourite cycling memories over the past 40 years. It will also be sending some limited edition road and mountain bike apparel to those that have helped the brand grow to where it is today.

The campaign is generally focussed on educating consumers about the history of the brand, but it is something that retailers across the country can get involved with. Retailers and industry members are encouraged to send in old Madison Clothing images, products or just some of their favourite cycling memories from the last 40 years.

In the lead up to the official birthday weekend from June 23rd to the 26th, Madison Clothing will be running a series of giveaways across its social media channels as well as a look back at the company’s history.

CEO at Madison Dominic Langan commented: “Having been at Madison for three-quarters of the years that it has existed, it has been really pleasing to see the brand develop and become what it is today. The core values of Madison have remained true over the decades; good quality, well-designed products for all types of riders, making use of the latest fabric technology, competitively priced, sold exclusively by knowledgeable specialist retailers, with the one aim of enhancing the rider experience.

"Forty years is definitely a milestone worthy of celebration but above all, I am excited about the future and all the great products yet to come.”

The limited edition mountain bike apparel is from the Flux range and is comprised of a jersey, short, glove and sock. On the road side, Madison77 apparel is based on the RoadRace Premio range and has its own jersey, bib-short, glove and sock.
