London’s Action Bikes ceases trading

Action Bikes, founded in 1991, has ceased trading. A notice on the store’s Facebook notes that the limited company behind the group has been placed in voluntary liquidation.

The directors of MTB Cycles, incorporated in 2000, were Barry Carr and Tony Yerby. Action Bikes’ Dacre Street store – opposite New Scotland Yard – closed late last year and now the other stores on the Embankment, Sheen, Whitton and in Victoria have also shut for the last time.

Bretts Business Recovery of Dartford is handling the liquidation.

The Dacre Street store was also the HQ for cycle apparel brand Foska. This was moved to Old Jamaica Road last year and is still trading.

Action Bikes PLC – with Aidan Fudge in charge – is still trading.
