Deignan is familiar with both company and its products through both the UCI World Champion jersey she won in the US and also the kit Santini has been making at its Bergamo facility for the Boels-Dolmans team since last season.
2015 World title aside, the English rider also won the UCI Women’s Road World Cup twice and is reigning Commonwealth Road Race champion. She will soon be one of the faces of Santini and will also wear the Italian company’s range in her leisure time.
“I have had first hand experience of testing the quality of Santini’s cycling wear racing with the Boels-Dolmans team,” Deignan explains. “I particularly loved the fit and design crafted specifically for the female body. Attention to detail is what makes the difference to me and with Santini I know I am guaranteed high performance kit that also look stylish.”
Santini’s partnership with the rider will also yield the “Lizzie X Santini” collection for the 2019 season, a range of cycling wear and accessories created “for women by women,” which melds the athlete’s personal experience and style with Santini’s technical expertise. The collection launches in autumn/winter 2018/2019.
