Three carbon options on the way for 2010

Litespeed to offer carbon Archon builds

Litespeed, distributed in the UK via Paligap, has announced it is to offer a companion range of carbon frames and bikes – the Archon, C1, C2 and C3.

“After two solid years of design, development, and the same rigorous testing and product evaluation we invest in our titanium bikes, we’re thrilled to introduce a line of carbon bikes that truly lives up to the Litespeed name and our long legacy of design innovation,” said Peter Hurley, CEO of American Bicycle Group.

“Our design objective with the C-Series line was simple,” Hurley added. “We aimed to produce a bike that utilised the unique material advantages of carbon to offer genuine and distinct aerodynamic innovations and performance at an industry competitive price. The result has been a palpable sense of excitement from our team, for sure, but also a whole new way of looking at integrated aero features that our designers eventually dubbed ‘AeroLogic’.”

The Archon carbon line will be officially launched at Eurobike in September 2009. The Archon C1 frameset, C2 and C3 bikes will be available for sale via Litepseed’s international distributor and retailer network from January 2010.

UK prices are as follows:

Litespeed C1 Frameset = £2199
Litespeed C2 Complete Bike Dura Ace = £3599
Litespeed C3 Complete Bike Ultegra = £2599
