Lezyne launches GPS units with long runtimes

Lezyne is to unveil two new GPS models at Eurobike in Friedrichshafen, German, which starts at the weekend. The Mega C and the Mega XL have mega run times – Lezyne claims battery life of up to 48 hours for the monochrome Mega XL, and 32 hours for the colour-screened Mega C.

"This puts all other GPS computers in the dark, literally", claims a statement from Lezyne.

"This feature will very much appeal the growing number of distance and ultra-distance and Audax cyclists, as well and just regular cyclists that do not want to worry about losing data from a long week of commuting."

Both units Bluetooth and ANT+ compatible and designed to mesh with Lezyne’s Ally smartphone app. They work with both GPS and the Russian GLONASS satellite equivalent. Both also have a barometric altimeter for accurate climbing data.

The 240×320 colour screen of the Mega C can display up to eight data fields, while the Mega XL, with its bigger 320×400 monochrome screen, can fit ten.

The Mega XL can rotate on Lezyne’s X-Lock mount to display horizontally.

The Mega C and the Mega XL will have RRPs of £180 each.
