Interbike 2002 will be a three-day not a four-day show as it loses a Wednesday but gains earlier opening times for VIP visitors

Las Vegas trade show shrinks

This is "the result of continuous feedback from the bicycle industry as it looks to maximize the time spent at the expo," said Lance Camisasca, Interbike show director.

The new schedule for Interbike 2002 is:

Outdoor Demo, Blue Diamond – October 5th – 8am-5pm

Interbike International Expo, Sands Exposition Center, Las Vegas – October 6th-8th – 9am-6pm

Before each morning of the show there will be two "VIP hours" when invited guests can gain access to the halls. These six hours are being billed as equivalent to the ‘lost’ day and will "accommodate those with heavy appointment schedules," said Camisasca.

"We did our homework when considering changing the duration of the show and after surveying our attendees, the statistics revealed that 70 percent of exhibitors and 80 percent of attendees responding were in support of this move.

"In the end, the show will still provide the same amount of business hours as it has in the past, just in a new, more efficient format."
