French cycling brand Lapierre has released a new all mountain electric mountain bike called the Overvolt AM CF. The brand says it’s “dedicated to the fastest rides and races and shaped by our enduro racing DNA.” It uses a Bosch drive system and comes with 170/165mm of travel. But in today’s saturated eMTB market, will it be able to stand out enough against the emergence of lighter weight, full-power bikes?

According to Lapierre, the Overvolt AM CF is dedicated to pure All-Mountain riding, blending the agility and accessibility of the Overvolt AM with the race-driven precision of the GLP III, creating a lighter and more responsive carbon platform engineered for both
technical climbs and committed descents. From long alpine days to race-stage intensity, it adapts naturally to the rider’s ambition while maintaining balance, traction and composure at speed.
A New Full Carbon Architecture
At the core of the Overvolt AM CF lies a completely new carbon frame built using a blend of Mitsubishi 24T (SM) and 40T (HM) fibers. Lapierre says tThis mix of standard (SM) and high modulus (HM) carbon optimises stiffness-to-weight ratio while preserving controlled compliance for enhanced grip and responsiveness in technical terrain.
The frame set weighs a claimed 2.9 kg in size M (without shock) and is engineered around 170 mm front and 165 mm rear travel. Internal cable routing, precise motor integration and reinforced structural zones underline the platform’s performance-driven construction, according to the brand.
Proven Lapierre Kinematics
Inspired by the GLP III, the Overvolt AM CF features a horizontal shock layout that improves seatpost insertion (up to 170 mm insert) and optimizes cable routing. The revised pivot positioning enhances stiffness and steering precision while maintaining traction under load.
Lapierre specific shock settings provide stronger mid-stroke support, enabling efficient acceleration out of corners without compromising control on steep or technical sections. The architecture remains proven, reliable and race-informed.
Benchmark Power. Total Control.
The Overvolt AM CF platform integrates the Bosch Smart System with full carbon precision. The Bosch Performance Line CX delivers 100 Nm of torque, up to 750 W maximum power and 400 % assistance. On the 10.8 model, the Bosch Performance Line CX-R drive unit provides an even more direct and dynamic power response, engineered specifically for competitive performance.
All models are equipped with the 800 Wh removable battery, compatible with Bosch PowerMore for extended range, and feature Bosch Connect module compatibility, enabling seamless ride tracking and remote connectivity. A CFD optimised Lapierre motor cover enhances cooling efficiency, ensuring consistent output under sustained load. The integrated Kiox 400C display with Mini Remote completes a clean, intuitive and fully integrated cockpit.
Adaptive Geometry. Full 29 / 27.5 Compatible.
The Overvolt AM CF retains Lapierre’s benchmark enduro geometry, recognised for stability at high speed and confidence in steep, technical terrain. Delivered in mullet configuration as standard, the bike features a 2-position flip chip that allows riders to switch to a full 29” or full 27.5” setup. This adaptability enables precise tuning to terrain and riding style while preserving the platform’s dynamic balance.
Builds
There are three builds of the new Overvolt AM CF on offer: the 6.8, 7.8 and 10.8. All use Bosch’s Smart System and come with 800Wh batteries. The specs differ with the 10.8 being the most premium offering.
