Anirudha Surabhi places Lumineer stem light on Kickstarter

Kranium creator puts stem-light on Kickstarter

Anirudha Surabhi, creator in 2010 of the Kranium cardboard-helmet, has placed his Lumineer stem light on Kickstarter. The battery-powered lights are on the crowd-funding site from £50.

Lumineer is made out of a single piece of milled aluminium and fits stems measuring 22-26 mm. The light is powered – for 40 hours in the non-strobe mode – by two slimline CR2032 batteries. Surabhi said he’s working on USB recharging for the Lumineer.

The project has just gone online and has so far raised £1,395 of a £20,000 goal.

The Lumineer’s faceplate is held on a hexbolts and could be protected with the HexLox magnet studs, also crowdfunding on Kickstarter at the moment.

BikeBiz.com reported on Surabhi’s Kranium cardboard-helmet when it was launched in 2010. The rights to the helmet are now owned by an American company.
