e-bikes and tandems put to the test on the popular TV show

Koga and Haibike face off on The Gadget Show

Channel 5’s The Gadget Show has been beating the e-bike drum once again in the latest edition of the programme.

Broadcast at the start of this week, the show challenged its presenters with a three-lap relay race. The presenter teams had to change their mode of transport for each lap, with e-bikes in the second – supplied to the show by Justebikes.co.uk – and finally tandems for the last lap.

For lap two Ortis Deley and Suzi Perry opted for a Haibike eQ Xduro, while Jason Bradbury and Pollyanna Woodward picked a Koga e-Runner.

For the last stage Deley and Perry selected a Co-motion PeriScope Hammerhead tandem, while Bradbury and Woodward chose a Circe Helios Duo.

Which bike won the quirky challenge? You can find out by watching the Gadget Show episode here. The e-bike bit starts at around the half hour mark, though cyclists may wish to see the section just before, when smartphone cases are put to the test. In washing machines.

The Gadget Show is no stranger to covering e-bikes, with the sector often featured in the show and at its Live event.
