Kenda appoints Velobrands and Greyville as UK distributors

Kenda has announced the appointment of two new UK distributors, Velobrands and Greyville, both of whom will have tyre and innertube stock from Wednesday, May 15.

The new partnerships are part of Kenda’s multi-channel approach for re-entering the UK market after its long-standing partner Moore Large ceased trading in 2023.

Pim Ramselaar, sales manager for Kenda Europe Bicycle in the UK comments: “From very early discussions with Velobrands and Greyville we knew they were the right fit because they share many of our values and goals as a brand. We look forward to the journey ahead with both companies and know that there is a strong future for Kenda in the UK.”

Kenda’s decision to appoint two established distributors demonstrates its renewed commitment to the UK market. Previously available in the UK until last year, the brand is now making a comeback with sought-after models like the Small Block 8, the Flintridge and the Hellkat.

Ramselaar adds: “Kenda recognised an opportunity for a better and renewed approach to the UK market when our distributor closed its doors in 2023.

“It has given us the time to assess the market and come in with an attractive, fresh approach. We want to make it as easy as possible for dealers to purchase Kenda tyres and tubes by holding stock across three separate businesses and locations in the UK.”

The brand will also be introducing fresh lines of MTB, gravel and commuter tyres and specialist inner tubes – products previously unavailable in the UK. This strategic move indicates an expansion aimed at serving a broader spectrum of cyclists in the UK.

Of the news, Will Miles, director of Velobrands states: “We are excited to be a part of Kenda’s return to the UK market and are looking forward to being able to offer this IBD-essential product line alongside our other consumables.”

Niki Burnley, general manager at Greyville Enterprises comments: ”We are absolutely delighted to be able to offer Kenda products to our customers. The premium range adds to our current product offering and perfectly complements our other premium brands.”
