Website Mud Dock Cycleworks

mud dock Workshop Technician

Mud Dock is an iconic bike shop and café in the centre of Bristol. We’re set over two floors of an old harbourside building that was refurbished in 1994. Since then, our love of bikes and food have worked together for over 32 years, thanks to a raft of amazing staff and great customers. These days the Bike Shop’s main trade revolves around cargo bikes from Tern, the folding bikes of Brompton and everything in between covered by Trek.

We are currently recruiting a Workshop Technician to join us and help progress our busy, dynamic workshop. You’ll play a key role in delivering attentive, professional servicing and advice for our customers on a range of bikes that might require detailed servicing and fault diagnosis.

An average day might see you swapping out a warranty Bosch motor on a Canyon E-MTB, re-installing the lighting system on a GSD cargo bike, performing rear hinge replacements on a Brompton commuter and/or dialling in a Di2 system for TT-bike, all whilst maintaining the smooth operation of the workshop.

  • At least 2 years mechanical experience
  • Cytec Level 2 or equivalent
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills

Desirable

  • Familiarity with Brompton servicing, including hinge replacement
  • Shimano Di2 set-up an configuration
