SALES PROFESSIONAL – Atlas Adventure Store

We are looking for a Sales Professional to join our passionate and professional team here at Atlas Adventure Store in stunning West Dorset.

Borne from a desire to do things differently, Atlas is not your average bike shop. With a host of bike, outdoor equipment and fashion brands, we aim to offer a vast range of equipment and clothing to make the most of the outdoors and help our customers with any type of adventure, big & small.

We’re looking for an individual that is self-motivated, strives for excellent customer service and can think outside the box. They will have a high attention to detail, excellent communication skills and strive to take the business forwards.

This role is sales-focused and customer-facing: greeting customers, understanding their needs & recommending the right products is a key part of the role. The right candidate will be self motivated; seeking sales opportunities, following up and successfully closing the sale.

Lots of our products are technical, this person requires motivation and desire to learn and communicate every aspect of our products to our customer base, providing alternatives where possible.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Greeting and assisting customers in store 
  • Consulting with customers to find them the right product to match their needs 
  • Identifying and maximising every sales opportunity by upselling and link selling
  • Identifying and presenting alternative options to the customer 
  • Negotiating and closing the sale
  • Proactively handling internal and external customer inquiries by phone and email 
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with customers 
  • Ensuring best in class customer service is achieved in all areas of the business 
  • Generating 5 star reviews through excellent customer service 
  • Maintaining high retail standards, through merchandising, product positioning, tidy and clean store etc 
  • Fitting customer to bikes, providing the appropriate size and adjustments.
  • Ordering products from our suppliers & using B2B websites
  • Using EPOS system and basic computer skills
  • Processing web sales 
  • Monitoring stock control 
  • Continually developing professionally, alongside product and industry knowledge
  • Processing payments and handling cash, including reconciling till. 
  • Being an ambassador for the business

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE 

  • Full-time position for someone looking for a career in sales

  • Compassionate, with a strong desire to help others

WORKING HOURS 

  • 0845 to 1715
  • 5 days per week, including Saturdays

Job Type: Full-time 

Package: 

  • £27,000 – £29,000 per year, dependent on experience
  • Annual company bonus scheme available
  • 28 days holiday, including Bank Holidays
