Retail Store Manager at Fudges Cycle Store (Paddington) About the Business As we approach the centenary of Fudges Cycle Store serving the riders of London and Surrey with our family run retail stores, we are poised to start on a new journey , and are looking to recruit additional team mates to join us & help deliver this new opportunity together . We provide a full range of bikes & accessories from the leading brands in cycling, and are looking to further build on our growing E-Bike reputation, and look to become centres for E-BIke excellence in the region. About the Role Manage the team & location with an owner operator mindset, focused on being the friendly, trusted face of Fudges Cycle Store. Develop, support & grow the local market for Urban, Commute, Gravel, Cargo, MTB & E-Bike categories by building a robust community of inspired riders & fans of the shop. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Commercial Awareness Owns & drives the commercial growth of the Paddington store for budgeting and management to ensure commercial viability & goals are reached Owns the customer interaction and conversion metrics finding innovative ways to improve rider interactions. Inspires new riders to discover Fudges Cycle Store through sharing the love of cycling Nurtures existing customer relationships . Develops new channels of awareness. Drives interest in all E-Bike categories. Possesses a commercial awareness of the Micro-Mobility industry. Quickly and positively adapts to the ever-changing needs of the business. Actively follows up with riders to help maintain our Fudges Cycle Store customer journey. Marketing Supported by & working with in-house business development team. Evolves and grows rider awareness of the retail location and services offered. Implements and provides feedback on all retail marketing activations Supports wider business marketing activations and strategy Retail Environment Owns the development of the internal space to effectively communicate brand messages based on rider interactions with brand partner technologies. Become a product expert and maintain current relevant stories in your retail display space People Management Inspires & attracts great talent. Helps team mates build a career in the bike industry. Manages the store staff to deliver the best customer experience possible. Helps in-house service team manage their work-flow to maintain & grow our service offerings Culture & Community Build and establish an inclusive & fun riding culture throughout in-house team & customers Grow and maintain community rides. Build & manage positive, supportive relationships with local businesses & community partners. Engage with local & regional advocacy groups to promote safe riding in the area. Daily operations Cleanliness Visual Merchandising POS management Demo / Service management Rider / Customer communication About You Key Competencies: Focus on the Customer (Rider centric approach) Detail orientated Inspires people Leader with insightful and compelling vision Qualifications & experience: 3 years of retail or bicycle retail (preferred) Connected to the riding scene at an enthusiasts level.
