Job Title: Merchandising Assistant

Location: Hampton Wick 

Hours: 40 hours Monday–Friday

Reports to: Merchandising Manager

We’re looking for a proactive and organised Merchandising Assistant to join our growing team at Sigma Sports. Your primary responsibility is to ensure smooth and accurate ordering from suppliers, to support customer needs. You will manage purchase orders (POs), monitor supplier deliveries, and communicate key updates internally. This role is vital in keeping the business running efficiently by ensuring that suppliers deliver on time and that our systems and teams always have the most up-to-date information.

What you’ll be responsible for:

Supplier Order Management

  • Raise and manage purchase orders with suppliers in line with business needs and customer demand
  • Maintain accurate supplier data, pricing, and lead times
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding order issues, delays, and discrepancies
  • Monitor supplier performance and report on delivery accuracy and reliability
  • Efficiently manage supplier stock feeds

Sales & Internal Team Support

  • Provide commercial teams with updates on stock availability, delivery timelines, and product ETAs
  • Amend and maintain purchase orders to reflect changes in stock levels, pricing, or supplier updates
  • Communicate clearly with Sales, Warehouse, and Purchasing teams to ensure systems are aligned
  • Report on sales performance and profitability for your function through weekly trade meetings

Inventory & Logistics Coordination

  • Work closely with Warehouse and Logistics teams to support efficient inbound deliveries
  • Help resolve delivery discrepancies, missing stock, or damaged goods from suppliers
  • Identify opportunities to improve supplier order processes and accuracy
  • Support the wider Merchandising team with general administrative tasks

  • Experience in retail, e-commerce, or ideally within the cycling industry
